Finals week is among us.

Last night was without a doubt one of the greatest experiences of my life. There were so many moments where I was just speechless.

The Before: So we got to El Rey around 12ish and sadly we weren’t the first people in line but basically we waited for an eternity and then Hoodie Motherfucking Allen was in the car as I walked over to sit down and I seriously freaked out. Like I’m still not 100% sure that was real life. Then he came over and said hi to us and omg I felt like dying right that second because he is so nice and cute. I tried so hard not to stare but holy crap.  HE SAID HE LIKED OUR SHIRTS. So that was the first time we met him. 

The During: As soon as Hoodie came on stage I’m pretty sure I lit up like a Christmas tree because I was so ready. It was the most interactive performances I have ever seen. I honestly felt like I was a part of it. There was hand waving, shouting, and singing. I can’t even express how beautiful the set list was. It was so perfect. I didn’t even want to blink for fear that I might be tampering with a potential monumental memory. The energy of the crowd was just amazing and the people around me were mostly awesome. I swear there were moments when I was just so in the Hoodie zone that I straight up almost passed out from a combination of euphoria and lack of sleep. When he crowd surfed after the last song I touched his sweaty back and event that was gloriously surreal. 

The After: We waited outside for him because he’s such a nice guy that he actually comes and meets everyone. So eventually he comes out so we get in this disoriented line for pictures and autographs. By the time we worked our way up I ended up taking a picture with Kyle and Pat too but of course not before my damn ass camera died. Luckily Julie had a disposable and her phone. But after that we finally got to him and Mikell and I decided to take our picture together for sake of time and Hoodie pulled me in for the picture and snap. He signed my shirt and my ticket and I talked to him for like a second and he is so humble and just so genuine. It was unreal. I’m honestly still trying to process how anything happened last night or how I was able to formulate any coherent sentence in his presence. Leaving the venue sucked though because that’s when it hit me that it was already over.

It’s so hard to convey it all through text. I just felt on top of the world to say the least. I still do. I’ve been so proud of my lack of voice today because I guess that was my little temporary souvenir. Already ready for the next tour to happen!

Because if I look like Nietzsche, I will better be able harness all of his knowledge and to write a good paper on his philosophy.

Went to the mall and came out with this sweet ass new bowler’s hat.

I’m in need of moloko with some of my droogs.

That moment when you finish a book, look around, and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives as though you didn’t just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.
